Module 1. Role of the Manager
Becoming a first-time manager is one of the most challenging and critical transitions:
• Different focus
• Different relationships
• Different impact
How to accept those changes and develop a new mindset?

Module 2. Essential Skills

• Listen to Learn – listen with the intent of being influenced
• Inquire for Insight- ask questions that draw out insights and ideas from the other person
• Tell Your Truth- talking about the situation be brave, honest, and respectful
• Express Confidence – build self-assurance and enthusiasm.

Module 3. Four Core Conversations
Preparation for every conversation is a key to successful work with employees
• Goal setting - to have a dialogue that focuses the person on exactly what needs to be done and by when
• Redirecting - to guide people toward their goals by identifying the specific behaviors that are out of alignment with the goal
• Praising - to help people understand which specific behaviors are helping to achieve the goal
Wrapping up - to keep people energized, and promote development by honoring the work that’s been done, to recognize what’s been learned
