Training program
Day 1
Pre-course work:
Participants will be asked to complete preliminary electronic questionnaire (PEQM), for the purpose to evaluate emotional intelligence.
Module 1. Emotional intelligence
• Concept of the emotional intelligence
 - basic emotions
 - cognitive and emotional intelligence
• How emotional intelligence impacts one`s professional development and success
• How emotional state is created
• Concept “individual emotional experience” (different people will feel the same emotion in different manner)
Practical work:
Individual work “Introduction: “My expectations from the course on emotional intelligence: hopes and concerns”.

Module 2. Five areas of emotional intelligence
• Intrapersonal intelligence
 - self-awareness (acknowledgement of strengths and weaknesses, positioning)
 - self-management (stress management, impulse control, issue solving…)
 - self-motivation (achievement drive, optimism…)
• Interpersonal intelligence
 - social awareness (acknowledgement of emotions and feelings of other people)
 - social skills (team building, proficiency in conflict resolution inside the team…)
Practical work:
Team work and presentation “5 areas of emotional intelligence, their elements, how they are manifested in the daily work».
Individual work: result report on completing preliminary electronic questionnaire (PEQM) on emotional intelligence level and its analysis.

Module 3. Self-awareness competency
• Self-awareness: how to track and identify one`s emotional state
 - Awareness (nature of emotions, 6 basic emotional states, preparation of emotional reactions scale, mixed emotions)
 - Self-appraisal (acknowledgement of strengths and weaknesses and their acceptance)
 - Objectivity (preparation of emotional reactions scale, mixed emotions)
 - Self-expression (ability to express one`s emotional state constructively)
• Emotions: basic and derived. Definition and differences
• Signals we send to those around us about our emotional state
Practical work:
Individual work: Stage by stage analysis of emotional state, caused by significant occurrence in professional life: tracking and working with emotions (with emotional reactions scale).
Pair exercises: feedback from the partner on the signals we send to other people about our emotional state.

Day 2.
Module 4. Introduction.
• Review of the topics from the first course day
• Course schedule
Practical work:
Team assignment: Presentation on topics from the first course day, preparation of the action plan for implementation of learned skills in the professional life.

Module 5. Social awareness.
• Role of social awareness role in the interpersonal relationships
• Algorithm for empathy development. Relationship management.
• Active listening
Practical work:
Pair exercise: reactions and feedback to the partner`s words in accordance with empathy rules. Role game “Booking airplane flight” to practice active listening.

Module 6. Communicational skills
• Interpersonal communication (ability to establish relationships, effective for the both sides)
• Team attitude (ability to be a team player, to be able to cooperate and align with common goals).
• Formula for the trust building in relationships
• Encouragement and appraisement skills.
Practical work:
Team assignment: Positive feedback for the course participants.
Individual work: Preparation of the development plan. Final round table.
