Training’s goal is to improve departmental performance through the development of knowledge in the field of conflict management and resolution.

After the training participants will:
• acquire an understanding of conflicts: their nature, structure, types;
• identify their personal strengths and skills in need of development in effective conflict management;
• acquire the skills for conflict prevention;
• have experience in preparing to resolve and resolving actual work situations based on the 8-step technique for conflict management.

Training program
Module 1. Introduction to conflict:
• what is a conflict?
• types and levels of conflict development;
• sources and causes of conflict;
• styles of behavior and settings in conflicts;
• test on identification of leading behavior strategy of participants inconflict resolution;
• responsibility in conflict resolution.
Module 2. Methods for avoiding conflict situations:
• emotional state control;
• methods and roles in conflict resolution.
Module 3. Methods for conflict resolution:
• 8-step technique for conflict management:
     recognizing a conflict and its level;
     analyzing of positions and clarification of interests conflicting parties;
     identifying and formulating causes of conflicts;
     analyzing and selecting an optimal solution;
     choosing an action plan and implementation method.
Practice the 8-step technique for conflict management on the basis of participants’ own experiences at work.
Module 3. Mediation as method for conflict resolution:
• principles of mediation;
• algorithm for mediation process;
• practicing mediation.

Practice
Case studies, role plays, video-sessions, mini-lectures, brainstorming, discussions, analysis of participants’ own experiences.

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
